There is growing concern that the Astros need to trade for CF help because Jake Meyers does not appear to be physically right.
Others are going to say the Astros should trade for Juan Soto (move Tucker to CF) or Bryan Reynolds. The Astros Front Office reserves the right to do something completely foolish today like that but I wouldn't.
For the rest of this article you will want to understand the expected trade values of the players on the Astros. Reference this article- https://www.larrythegm.com/post/who-should-the-astros-be-willing-to-trade .
Here is my short list of CF trade possibilities that are similar to the trade targets I described in all of my previous trade related articles. I will include the baseballtradevalues.com trade value so you can pair that with the article above to design your own CF trade today.
CF REALISTIC Trade Options
Adolis Garcia- 21.4- Tex
Manuel Margot- negative 1.6- TBR- Injured but rehabbing
Anthony Santander- 7.6- Bal- RF/LF
Ian Happ- 21.6- CHC
Seiya Suzuki- 9.7- CHC
CF Dream Options- probably too high trade value since trading Garcia is harder without Odorizzi now
Daulton Varsho- 78.6 - Ari (Read what I wrote about him here)
Cedric Mullins - 52.3 - Bal
Bryan Reynolds- 62.2- Pit
Taylor Ward- 39.6- LAA- Mainly RF- Tucker probably have to move to CF
THESE are the options. If the Astros trade
If the Astros don't make ANY of these deals today, I expect the Astros to play McCormick more in CF the rest of the season. I believe Meyers is not fully healthy. McCormick is NOT as bad as most Astros fans think. Plus with both Vazquez and Mancini, McCormick could bat 8th ot 9th in this lineup and then possibly a CF is not needed.

Adolis Garcia K Rate: 30%
if the Astros were to acquire him where would he bat in the lineup?
