I am committed to bringing you MoneyMaker Content for the MLB and NCAA. For my NCAA MoneyMaker Content, I am going to bring you where I see gaps in the line and show you by my system where I THINK the line should be.
This week I am making this available to the Premium members too. You can get this every week if you upgrade to a MoneyMaker subscription.
I introduced this last week among all of the NCAA Content.
Folks, this is VERY developmental. I like how it played through for the season predictions, but how it works week to week is still to be determined. As I went through the season predictions, I made some adjustments to the Point Spread Rating to fix what I thought were errors.
How did we do last week?
We were 3-2 in predicting Week 1.
Let's try our system for Week 2.
First, let me give you - the MoneyMakers, the key to how I am building my line predictions. THIS IS OUR SECRET METHOD! We detailed this in the week 1 article.
Here are the rules we deployed for our picks in Week 1.
Contests must be FBS vs, FBS.
I think a point spread gap needs to be at least 8 (either less than -8 or more than +8) to consider action. You will see that the system is generally suggesting a LOT of underdogs. I am not sure about that.
Stay away from 30-point spreads.
I am also going to stay away from -10 or less Point Spread Rating teams at least for now.
Here are the six picks the system gives us to consider:
The system is picking 6 underdogs.
It thinks Memphis will lose by 1.5 at home instead of winning by 18.5. The system factors clearly love Troy more than Vegas does.
The system thinks Virginia Tech will win by only 6. Vegas think VT should win by 20.5. Therefore, Marshall is the system pick.
The Utah State - USC game may just have too big of a spread for action. It picks Utah State to keep it closer than Vegas.
Auburn fans will not be happy. The system thinks they win by 4ish and not the 13 Vegas has. Cal is the system pick.
Liberty is the big favorite on the road. The system thinks NMSU keeps it way closer. With all of the point, the system says to take NMSU.
6. The last recommendation hits hard. Texas fans are flying high and are exceedingly confident. The system thinks Michigan wins close. I did some deeper analysis with my team in the Big House. The reason I am staying away from the Michigan bet here can be best understood by checking this out.
I actually think Texas has way too much talent.
How did we do? Well, I said stay away from the Michigan pick. With that, I went 3-2 again this week. MoneyMakers, if we can go 3-2 every week, we may need to visit Lake Charles weekly.... kidding. Here is the detail.
MoneyMakers, let me know what you think. I would not take action on these YET, but that is how the system works. Now you have something else to watch this weekend.
