There have been 500 posts on LarryTheGM.com. This is post 501. This site has been online for less than 900 days. We have given you content on average more than every other day.
Let's take a moment to celebrate this milestone and also to reflect.
For the past two years I have done a catchy Astros/ MLB themed post paraphrasing "Twas the Night Before Christmas." I will be honest. I am too backlogged with content and desiring time with my family to do that this year. Maybe, I will be suddenly inspired tomorrow. It happens often.
I am reflective when I saw 500 posts. We need to do more video. I know this.
I believe we have truly informed you more about the Astros than anyone because we didn't shy away from the hard topics. We have taken heat for the analysis we have done, but I would put our record up against anyone. We are not perfect and never claimed to be.
We have been passionate fans for the Astros and the Longhorns. We have done analysis of not only the teams but the leagues, conferences, and sports in which they compete. We have covered the business side of sports that most ignore so that you can be informed.
We have celebrated. We have expanded to covering another up-and-coming Rockets team. We have offered opportunities for all to join us. If you want to help in 2024, please reach out to me.
When you take stands and give objective analysis people don't like you. They try to silence you and call me a troll.
Everything we have written has been aimed to making you more informed and to point out how our teams can be even better. If that brought a strong reaction within you, it was because the message was rare in sports media where 90% of this industry cares only about clicks and being popular.
The end of the year is a time to reflect. I ask that you support me. Almost every article has a link to our Patreon site. Members there get almost all content first. It is $5 a month. If this site is valuable to you or has helped you, PLEASE consider supporting this site so that we can continue.
The haters tell me I am a joke. They spew hatred weekly at me. Prove THEM wrong by supporting the work here.
Thank you for allowing me to share my heart with message 501.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Larry
